A Change
The love I feel for you
Words cannot describe
Like the air that I breathe
I need you to survive
I try to meet your needs
Because I love you so
I want to make you happy
I seldom tell you no
Adapting to your ways
Doesn”t makeit right
But it is the only way
To keep you in my life
Even when I”m clean
My efforts are in vain
I”ve failed every attemp
To encourage you to change
Most risks that you take
I hav”nt got a clue
I live with such fear
Afraid of losing you
Your every day depends
On dope, machines and booze
If they”re not in your hands
You let your temper loose
Much of our frustration
Is taken out on me
And there is nothing I can do
To ease your suffering
I am so afraid
You”ll grow tired of me
You”ll find someone new
Who better meets your need
Someone who can share
All you have in common
They”ll show you how easy
I can be forgotten
I”m afraid one day
My love won”t be enough
You”ll decide I”m not worth t
And just give up on us
How do we move on
Without falling apart
Are we strong enough
To make a new start
We can”t continue living
Life the way we do
If we struggle with a change
Will our love pull us through
We owe it to each other
Not to tempt our fate
Can we change our ways
Or is it just too late
Will there come a day
When you”ve had too much
You”ll want an honest change
And a better life for us
You”re all I'll ever want
You make my life complete
An answer to my prayer
Is you feel the same for me
